Sonnegger Lake
Sonnegger Lake lies near Sittersdorf and the Goesseldorfer lake. This small water has extraordinary stock of carp and other whitefish. Hechte also live here. The Sonnegger lake is ideal for flyfishers and their families if you hunt whitefish or just want to train your casting technique. Carp weighing 10 kilograms and more often come to the surface of water to see the sun. Now you have to cast in a quick and exact style because there is only a very short time before the carp recognizes the deception. This kind of fishing is as exciting as catching a bonefish in the Caribbean!

The best equipment are rods in classes 6 to 8 with floating taper.
Bread flies and little nymphen (zuckmueckenlarven) are good bait for fishing on sight.
If the carp are not at the surface of the water, you have to use boilies on long taper.
An extraordinary stock of carp, grass carp and hechte make the easily-reached Sonnegger Lake an ideal water for anglers with family and for beginners.
It is small but unique!
