Savinja and Lučnica
The Savinja rises at the south of the Steiner Alps in one of the most beautiful valleys of Europe. With their tributary Dreta she offers in a distance of 72 kilometers—a unique fishing event. You can catch trout in the deep, silent water and also in running waters. In a beautiful landscape in the valley you will also find aeschen and huchen while staying in a wonderful surrounding with hospitable people and a deliciously typical cuisine. In the Savinja, trout up to 70 centimeters and aeschen with an exciting 50 centimeters can be caught. Fishing with dry flies is very particularly successful in the Savinja and Dreta.
